scripture

Matthew 5:23-24

Therefore, if you are offering your gift at the altar and there remember that your brother has something against you, leave your gift there in front of the altar. First go and be reconciled to your brother; then come and offer your gift.

scripture

Matthew 7:13-14

Jesus says, "Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.”

quote

It can be quite easy to fall into the habit of choosing the path of least resistance, even though that path is generally the opposite one God would have us take.  We want to take the easy way out.  We want to avoid any conflict. The problem is, the more we take what seems to be the easy way, we find ourselves sliding further and further into a quagmire of conflict that is much more difficult to resolve than it would have been had we done things God’s way in the first place.  The next time you’re faced with a decision, try taking the truly easy way- God’s way- and let Him be your path of least resistance.

Matthew 10:32-33

Jesus speaks saying, "Whoever acknowledges me before men, I will also acknowledge him before my Father in heaven. But whoever disowns me before men, I will disown him before my Father in heaven.”
