scripture

Psalm 25:1-7

In you, LORD my God, I put my trust. I trust in you; do not let me be put to shame, nor let my enemies triumph over me. No one who hopes in you will ever be put to shame, but shame will come on those who are treacherous without cause. Show me your ways, LORD, teach me your paths. Guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my Savior, and my hope is in you all day long. Remember, LORD, your great mercy and love, for they are from of old. Do not remember the sins of my youth and my rebellious ways; according to your love remember me, for you, LORD, are good.

En Espanol, Salmos 25:1-7

quote

But however long you may have continued in rebellion, and however black and long the catalog of your sins, yet if you will now turn to God by a sincere repentance, and believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, you shall not be cast out.

-          For the church there to grieve and morn without choosing to be violent in return

-          For God to change the hearts of the people who orchestrated this act of violence (they are also victims and causalities of their ideology/theology)

He will respond to the prayer of the destitute; he will not despise their plea.

Matthew 5:23-24

Jesus taught, “Therefore, if you are offering your gift at the altar and there remember that your brother or sister has something against you, leave your gift there in front of the altar. First go and be reconciled to them; then come and offer your gift.”

lyrics

Forgiven by Relient K

And you can't see past the blood on my hands
To see that you've been aptly damned to fail and fail again
'Cause we're all guilty of the same things
We think the thoughts, whether or not we see them through
And I know that I have been forgiven
And I just hope you can forgive me too
You can forgive me too, you can forgive me too
You can forgive me, can forgive me
Can forgive me, can forgive me too
