Greetings!  I hope everyone is well.  I am back from Kabul, Afghanistan.  Yes, you read correctly.  We left the day after Christmas, spent New Year’s there, and returned last Wednesday.  My folks have lived there for over a year and a half now.  My stepdad works as head of security at a hospital and my mom as a second grade teacher.  It is a rough place but they are very much enjoying their time among the Afghan people.

Jesus taught, "You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven.

Darkness and light cannot coexist in the same space.  Dark shrinks back from light.  Light consumes darkness and not vice versa.
