The world likes the idea of love but only if it does cost anything, only if it is easy. God calls us to love until it hurts and then to love some more.

I am reading a book called Amish Grace. It describes the Nickel Mines School shooting, the events that followed, and investigates the forgiveness shown by the Amish community. In the book an Amish man says, “Hate is poison that erodes the vessel which contains it.” Pause and think about this.
