I call on you, O God, for you will answer me; give ear to me and hear my prayer.

No prayer ever rises in vain. It is as inevitably answered as is the call of gravitation to matter. Prayer and its answer belong to an established, immovable order, and work according to recognized law. If prayer is manifestly and magnificently answered, we marvel; whereas we should marvel if it is not abundantly answered.
