scripture

Psalm 119:49-50
Remember your word to your servant, for you have given me hope.
My comfort in my suffering is this: Your promise preserves my life.

En Espanol, Salmos 119:49-50

thoughts

Psalm 119 is a special Psalm because it is an acrostic of the Hebrew alphabet; beginning with Aleph and ending with Taw.  When you see this chapter in Hebrew text each section begins with the next letter.

Here is a link to show you the alphabet - http://www.jewfaq.org/alephbet.htm

Section one's first character is the Aleph, which looks kind of like an "x".
Section two's first character is the Bet, which looks like a backward "c" with a hard corner on the bottom.
Here is a link to see Psalm 119 in parallel English and Hebrew - http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Psalm+119&version=NIV;WLC
