What's your fave Bible verse? And why?

I thought it would be fun, and insightful for us all to share with each other what our favorite Bible verse(s) were and why? Use the comment link below to post your response. I'd love to see some dialogue in the posts also.

JOHN 15:13 Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for
his friends.

One of my favorite verses is 1 Corinthians 10:13

There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God [is] faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear [it].

This means to me that God already knows (and has known) everything that He will allow to ever happen in my life. This is comforting that He cares enough about me to plan and filter the events in my life, and help me through them. What an awesome God we have!

Well I know it is kind of well known and all, but my favorite will always be John 3:16. No other verse touches me like that one, it is so powerful and makes me feel all good inside every time I hear it or read it. To me, it pretty much sums up the bible in one little verse, that is how powerful it is!

Michele,
I like your verse because I think it not only speaks of temptation but of all life's events. God knows I can handle the pressue of circumstances with His strength. This week has been rough for me because I forgot God's care for me and allowed myself to get defeated by my worries and anxieties.
