scripture

Colossians 3:12-14

Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.

thoughts

Have you ever gotten an overwhelming sense of your own imperfections?  This week, in addition to praying that God help me deal with stress more gracefully, I’ve been praying that He give the people around me a greater measure of patience and mercy to employ toward me too.  Oh how much I have to grow in this process of pressing forward in the process of allowing God to transform me into the person He intended me to be.  May we all get an occasional glimpse of our own imperfections so that we can be more forgiving of them in others.
