scripture

1 Timothy 4:8

For physical training is of some value, but godliness has value for all things, holding promise for both the present life and the life to come.

En Espanol, 1 Timoteo 4:8

thoughts

Sadly, Jack Lalanne died recently. He was the father of the fitness craze. His healthy living and fitness may have helped him live until he was 96. Then again, one of my neighbors loved junk food, didn't work out, and made it to 100 years. So, I ride a bike to work each day, and down a daily half a glass of carrot juice, and that's all I'm doing to try and extend my life. This is because I took to heart 1 Timothy 4:8, and the bumper sticker that said, "Eat Right, Exercise, Die Anyway." Jack Lalanne worked out for two hours a day, even into his 90's. He once boldly said, "Billy Graham's for the hereafter. I'm for here now." Not anymore.
